Royal School Parent Letter -- 4/6/20

Dear Royal School Ohana,

I hope that you and your family are keeping safe and staying healthy.

Due to the ongoing concerns about COVID -19 we are cancelling all field trips, assemblies, and activities scheduled for the remainder of the school year. We realize that these are fun, loving events that are cherished by our students and school community but public health and safety are our primary concerns.  We will also go back to 1:00 dismissal on May 20 and 2:15 dismissal on May 22 pending school closures.

Free Internet Services
Both Spectrum and Hawaiian Telcom are offering 60days/2 months of free internet service to households containing a K-12/college student that are not currently a subscriber.

*Note that after the 60 days, families will be billed so please remember to cancel it on your own if you don't want to continue service*
Royal School Parent Letter -- 3/27/20

Dear Parents and Guardians of Royal School,


      During this extended period away from school, we would like to encourage you to continue education through distance learning. Our teachers will provide learning opportunities for your child to complete during the duration of school closures. Teachers will update their grade level folders weekly. Please continue to check our website regularly for this information and other available resources.

       Royal School remains focused and committed to our vision and mission. We will continue to work together, get smarter, become better, and reach higher than ever before.

McKinley High School and Kaimuki High School have been identified as feeding sites.  All students 18 and under can grab and go breakfast and lunch at these sites starting Monday 3/23. Breakfast will be served 7:30 - 8:00 AM. Lunch will be served 11:30 - noon. No meals on March 26.  Please continue to follow our website or HDOE for updated information.

Aloha Royal School Ohana,

With the increasing global and now local concern over the spread of the Coronavirus, COVID-19, we need to do everything we can to be proactive in our efforts to keep our students, families, faculty and staff safe and healthy.  The Hawaii State Department of education will close its offices and schools effective Thursday, March 19.  Currently, students are anticipated to return to school on Tuesday, April 7.
